Zero Waste

Zero waste is a set of principles focused on waste prevention so all products are kept out of the landfills, incinerators, or the ocean.

For decades, we have focused our attention on Recycling. In order to achieve zero waste, we have to develop lasting solutions around Refuse, Reduce, and Reuse.

Our 2020 focus is building connections and mapping innovative closed-loop solutions for local communities, in order to minimize the impacts of waste and unsustainable consumption.

In 2018, we held our inaugural Zero Waste Conference. We are currently coordinating our second Zero Waste Conference to be held virtually, around November 2020. Please keep an eye out for more details!

If you are interested, contact Brittney Wendell and Evelyn Ferreira or complete our volunteer form.

Proceeds from the events supported our campaigns.

The next conference/event is tentatively scheduled for Spring 2021.
