Bottle Bill Legislation Update: Recycling Advocates is actively working towards enacting a modernized Bottle Bill in the Oregon Legislature. RA is working closely with the Association of Oregon Recyclers and other local groups in order to succeed where previous attempts to update this outdated legislation have failed. 2006 Fall Forum: Exploring the Modernization of Oregon's Bottle Bill - A Stakeholder Discussion On December 6th, 2006 Association of Oregon Reyclers hosted a very successful forum on the the subject of Modernizing Oregon's Bottle Bill. Nearly 100 concerned individuals attended the event held this year at the Willamette Valley Vineyards outside Salem, Oregon. Oregon, once a leader in Bottle Bill legislation has become a "laggard" in this respect. The forum explored the options available to the state by examining other regional solutions to the problem and listening to the various stakeholders positions on the issue.
